Most of our support comes from caring individuals, our local churches, area businesses and organizations. We have several fundraising events and opportunities each year including our annual banquet. Contact us to learn more.

Throughout the year, friends of the ministry can organize events like baby showers for our parenting clients, speaking events, and Baby Bottle Campaigns. It is our goal to have a Baby Bottle Campaign going in a different church or organization from Mother's Day to Father's Day each year.

We are a 501-c3 faith-based non-profit in the state of Pennsylvania. The majority of our funding comes from the financial partnerships of individuals, churches, and businesses in our community. Your gift goes to helping women and couples learn the truth about their options, empowering them to choose life for their children.

Estate Planning

Including the Shine Women’s Center in your will, estate, and trust plans is a wonderful way to continue our mission, even beyond your lifetime. Typically known as “Planned Gifts,” such gifts are designed to help our donors enhance their estate planning, tax planning, investment, and retirement goals. When you name the Shine Women’s Center as a beneficiary in your will or trust, you will ensure our ability to continue to meet the needs of local women and men facing unexpected pregnancies. Our volunteer Certified Public Accountants and attorneys can meet with you to discuss such planned giving in more detail. All such meetings are held in the strictest confidence of our staff and volunteers.

Also, donors who are aged 70 ½ or older can contribute up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to the Shine Women’s Center and avoid paying income taxes on the distribution. This is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution. It is limited to IRAs, and there are other exclusions and considerations as well. Again, our volunteer Certified Public Accountants can meet with you to discuss your planned Qualified Charitable Distributions and their tax-saving effects in more detail.

And last but not least, did you know that by donating appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, and similar securities to the Shine Women’s Center, you can eliminate the capital gains taxes you would incur by selling them separately before donating the cash to us? This would ensure that the Shine Women’s Center receives the full value of your donation. Our volunteer Certified Public Accountants can meet with you to discuss these donations and their tax-saving effects in more detail.

Diapers (sizes newborn to size 6 and pull-ups) we especially need larger sizes
Wipes (sensitive skin)
Formula (unexpired formula and baby food)
New baby bottles and smaller baby items
Pack n plays and crib sheets
Baby clothes - NB to 5T (new and gently used)
Gift cards (Walmart, Visa, etc.)
High chairs, strollers, and baby equipment
Car seats - must be new
